"Between the classic and the modern"

Artists's Statement

"A long time ago in a field,
color scheme of a flowering plant,
a mountain is full of green.
There was a breath of the abundant life at peace.
Ancient people had a kind heart.
When we see Doguu and Haniwa dolls, we will think about their admirable heart.
That is why I started to make dolls of clay.
When people see my dolls, my hope is that they will think of this."
